Mr Spraycan – case 3
Ms O’Monahan: “I’d be prepared to swear that I thought I’d been hit with a Scud when Monkey Face started in on my love tunnel. But I don’t suppose that’s what you want to hear, is it?”
Sergeant Grafton: “What I want to hear is whatever you want to tell me. Just say whatever you feel is the truth.”
Ms O’Monahan: “The truth — the truth is that I was having the best sex ever. No hang ups about letting myself go, just the pleasure of getting a real good screwing with plenty more to come. And if you want to know if that was all due to the spray, then I’ll tell you the truth about that as well — I just don’t know.”
Sergeant Grafton: “You know something else that really bothers me about these cases, Robin? The way the effects of the drug seem to stay on with the females concerned. None of them want to press charges, none of them even seem to have any bad words for the men who assaulted them. Hell, you’d think they considered themselves lucky to have been chosen, as though they’d been picked up by a couple of film stars. And you seem to be behaving just like the other victims.”
Ms O’Monahan: “What would you like me to do, Julie? Go up to the top of that building over there and jump off the roof because there are a couple of guys in this town who’ve had my cunt wrapped around their cocks?”
Sergeant Grafton: “No, I don’t want you to do anything for me you don’t want to. I’d just like to be able to understand what happened. Can I show you another of the photographs and ask you a question about it? Would that upset you?”
Ms O’Monahan: “The others haven’t, so why should one more?”
Sergeant Grafton: “OK, the thing about these photos is that you’re usually either looking straight into the camera or into the face of the man who’s screwing you. You don’t seem embarrassed about anything. And the way you’re looking at this guy, it’s like you want to remember everything about him. But since you don’t seem to interested in identifying him, now you’ve got the chance, the only other reason I can think of for a woman to look at a man that way is because she’s getting fond of him.”
Ms O’Monahan: “Oh, no, that’s a crazy idea.”
Sergeant Grafton: “You said you had great sex with him — that’s usually a good start to a relationship.”
Ms O’Monahan: “There isn’t any kind of relationship: the pair of them drugged me, dunked my donut every which way and then dumped me. That’s it, end of story.”
Sergeant Grafton: “The end of their story, maybe. Your story is that you seem to have enjoyed everything they did to you, even if it was on top of a piece of junk furniture in a basement somewhere. You certainly seem to be enjoying yourself in the pictures they took of you. I suppose this was another pose the Geek suggested for you?”
Ms O’Monahan: “So what if it is? I haven’t complained to the cops about anything that’s happened, so what business is it of yours anyway?”
Sergeant Grafton: “Well, I was just wondering. Like you said they drugged and took you without bothering to ask whether you wanted them to or not. But you seem happy enough about the situation to sit and look through the photos. If these guys came and knocked on your door would you go with them again — even if they didn’t spray you?”
Ms O’Monahan: “I don’t know. Maybe I would.”
Sergeant Grafton: “Even to have more pictures like this taken of you?”
Ms O’Monahan: “Maybe. If I felt like it. After all, they’re not likely to do anything to me they haven’t done already.”
Sergeant Grafton: “Robin, from what I’ve heard, I suspect that this spray can have long term effects on the victims’ personalities. It certainly seems to take away their inhibitions immediately they’re touched by it, or inhaled it. But I’m not sure that they go back to the way they thought about things before. For one thing, they all seem to have a very casual attitude towards sexual matters. The same sort of attitude you’re demonstrating now.”
Ms O’Monahan: “Perhaps it just seems that way to you, Julie, because you’re a cop? Or perhaps I’ve always wanted to be a slut and that drug opened a door I’d never have dared touch by myself.”
